Our goal

We want everyone to be able to read about the site and reach the Authority. Our goal for this website is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We work toward that goal and test for it; we do not claim the site is perfect.

What we have done

Information on the site is real text, not pictures. Pages use headings and landmarks, every image has a text description, every control works with a keyboard and shows a visible focus ring, and text meets AA color contrast in both light and dark modes. Tabs work with arrow keys and show every panel when scripts are off. The background video can be paused and is removed when your device asks for reduced motion, and nothing is hidden behind animation. The two videos play only when you press Play. The site uses no accessibility overlay.

Known limits

Some figures come from the Authority's own information and may be updated. The two videos do not yet have captions or written descriptions, and the three site exhibits are large images without full text descriptions; both are being prepared.
